Dragon Exercises

Too often in life, the focus is on stress, anxiety, and depression, which only produces more stress, anxiety, and depression. In contrast, Qi Gong looks at things differently. It focuses on cultivating energy, health, and vitality. A balanced energy system leads to a healthy body, emotional balance, and a clear mind. It enables us to face life's challenges without getting knocked over. It makes us more resilient and joyful.

Nothing beats the Dragon exercises in Qi Gong when it comes to building resiliency, strength, and flexibility. They are especially helpful when it comes to:

  • clearing stress

  • promoting longevity

  • fueling health

  • stimulating vitality

  • increasing energy

The Dragon exercises in this video will ease tension and create flow. You can feel them stimulating physical energy and emotional balance. We start with deep breathing to find our center with Spinal Cord Breathing. Next comes Sassy Dragon, followed by a combination of Powerful Dragon and Heart-to-Sky. We finish with Swimming Dragon Flow (for the Lower Tan Tien.) Listen to my narration on how to do each specific move.

I am reminded of the power of the Dragon every day by Destiny the Dragon, drawn for me by my friend Amy Kregoski. The whimsical details remind me of the playfulness and power of the dragon.

Life can get stressful, but we can be resilient.
