The Pump

 
 

The Pump is an overall great warm-up exercise and beneficial for the low back.

 

1. Arms Up. Drop the arms, let them swing.

 

2. Let the legs participate by bending and straightening as the arms go behind you. Bend and straighten the legs as the arms swing back up.

 

3. Exhale – out the mouth on the way down.

     Inhale – through the nose on the way up.

 

* If you want to modify The Pump, just do it with smaller movements.
